As the title and the website say, I’m currently making a distro with the goal that you don’t have to compromise between ease of use + safety and bleeding-edge + performance optimizations.
As I will likely be able to publish the 0.0.1 source code to the GitHub link and the ISO to the website sometime next week, I would like people to be aware of my project so I can have some feedback for further improvements when I release the first version. I have not posted this anywhere else yet, as I value the opinion of this community more than Reddit or whatever.
If you have any questions or any criticism, please voice it, I would love to hear it, good or bad, in the end I want to make a proper OS. (I’ll go to bed now so expect replies to take a few hours from posting.)

Love it!! You seem to have a similar stance on LLMs as I do. They’re useful if used correctly, but still destroying the world for nothing in 95% of cases, because most people using them are stupid and talentless.
Jup, I DO use AI and bought an Intel B70 to run stuff locally with my own llama.cpp-sycl AUR package, but just to automate meaningless and tedious work. For example I have a .sh script that I run once and compile all four kernel versions and push them to my website automatically. That .sh is completely vibe-coded locally, the only person I could harm by that is myself haha. That way I can save time and pay attention to the actually relevant stuff. But vibe-coding stuff that could harm the user’s experience is a hard no for me.

Still expensive af. I have an RX 7800 XT and paid half of what you paid for your GPU, and still was annoyed it cost so much. Computing should be something accessible by the masses, not a hobbyist elite like us.
Yeah, it’s a shame that consumer hardware has gotten this expensive, but compared to the cost of other alternatives the B70 is a fantastic deal, especially at the old price. Cyberpunk 2077 still runs at 100fps at 3440x1440p with max settings RT off, Qwen3.8-27B at UD-Q6_K_XL with 131k context runs at up to 35tok/s TG and 900tok/s PP with my llama.cpp-sycl AUR package.
