There’s three points next to his name:

- Unless there’s more info somewhere, I don’t see this being overly bad since he’s all about trying to change laws for the better, and just by virtue of doing that you will need to at least interact with the slimy part of politics.
- Anti-trans:
which can be paraphrased as “I think transgender women are men but I’m willing to overlook it if we have common cause”- So identity denying. This looks more like he doesn’t have enough information than a case of far right conspiracy trans are pedos shit. Seeing how he’s changed his mind about things in the past when presented with new information, and knowing how deep he goes into rabbit holes (especially when it comes to rights) when he finds them, I see this as unfortunate, but potentially redeemable.
Louis has been a regular poster on the hate and harassment website Kiwi Farms, posting there from 2023 to the present under the username “larossmann”.- I don’t have enough information on this to have a proper opinion. This looks like something that warrants further investigation…

While I don’t care for defending celebrities on the internet, I also don’t care for purity testing, and since I have been a booster of his work and ideas on occasion, wanted to do a bit of due diligence and had largely come to the same “smoke but no actual fire” conclusion

He has only posted on exactly one thread, funnily enough about him (but not started by him) and all of the comments I read have been talking about various bits of content, but I did not see anything that I would consider out-of-character or promoting hate in my opinion.
Is this a good look? Not great for sure, since Kiwi Farms is definitely an edgelord paradise. But oddly enough, its at least consistent with his ethos, since he always talks about being bipartisan.
In my point of view this is a witch-hunt, i dont know many of the names. I checked some people on the list and the allegations, make your own research - i dont take this list of „clean foss and the it-scene from this people“ serious.

I cut out Cloudflare with a combination of Quad9 and NetBird Reverse Proxy. It’s not going to be free forever but if I don’t start putting my wallet behind my principles I might find out I don’t have a job or my kid won’t have a planet.

I don’t use cloudflare for anything. I mean, other sites do, and I can’t control that when I visit them, and I’m probably not going to boycott them right away, but it will put them onto my “actively looking for an alternative” list. Meanwhile my own stuff is never going to be behind cloudflare, and yours doesn’t need to be either, and eventually with enough “you’s” and “me’s” we’ll have our own cloudflare-free internet and the rest of the corporate bullshit can all go choke to death on its own enshittification.
A good idea is to list which CloudFlare services you use and see what nerds have to say. There’s pretty much always a CloudFlare alternative, no matter the product
Yea I currently own all of my domains through cloudflare’s registrar and use them for authoritative DNS. Migrating to another registrar and DNS authority sounds pretty annoying.
It’s really easy. Just check the documentation for transfers on the source and destination registrars. I used to do this all the time at a previous job.
