  • Ive been a long term windows user. Almost 80% of my life. Tried macos and linux but always went to windows. Last year, i decided to move away from big tech in general. Ive moved away from most of it except windows, which is windows 10 LTSC. I tried ubuntu, kubuntu, fedora gnome, fedora kde, kde neon, arch (failed hard), arctix, endeavour and lastly i settled with linux mint cinnamon. A couple of tweak and a few hours. It feels like home. Goodbye windows, you will not be missed. I do dualboot windows 10 whenever i need to use program that only support windows.

  • I really want to buy it again but im kinda bummed out by the QC. I bought a new LCD model when the OLED came out. Not even a day, i noticed the trackpad has different intensity between left and right. and the shoulder button is the worse, the right one has weird double click and has longer travel. Returned it right away. The problem is, its not released in my country so i had to buy off 3rd party seller and i was lucky i can return it. Wouldnt want my new deck already opened and repaired on the first day.

A couple of months later i bought another one and guess what. Same problem. After reading around it is actually common problem for the shoulder button.

  • Im running Aoostar R1 Intel n100 for 3 months now. I bought it barebone. I bought the ram, ssd and hdd seperately. It has 1x m.2 nvme slot and x2 3.5/2.5" disk bay. But i swap the wifi card to another nvme because im not using it.

Intel spec is 6w for n100 but my r1 total wattage is 32w idle including extra usb fan at the top. A bit at the high side after researching around but i dont really mind.

  • I used to do that but windows 10 ltsc. Now i just restored from system image. I do a fresh install, install all the drivers, tweak anything that needed tweaking. Then, i made a full image backup. Once in blue moon if my windows is bork. I restored the system image.

Im running fedora atm but its not all sunshine, sometimes when installing from software centre. It just hang at installing software. Bar not moving and i had to kill it manually and retry again.

  • Last time i bought an nvme with windows 11 installed. The seller apparently sells pulled out unit. Usually i just wiped it clean and installed a new os.

But, since it came with win11. I thought to myself, i want to see whats new. Fuck me, cant even skip the login requirement. I remember there’s a cmd line i can type to skip. Nope, apparently ms patched it. Fuckers.

Tried another guide. I forgot which one is which but that did it. Forcing user to use ms account. Not in a million years. Miss me with that shit.
