that particular combination of face expression and the top-down yellow lighting being the first thing I see when I open lemmy, I got jumpscared.
it’s more than fancy, it’s KDE’s Advanced Text Editor. Otherwise that’s Kfte

It does anti-alias a bit, but not very noticable for moving images/videos. I just think it’s cool. I think it’s also limited to FSR 2.
It’s less noticable maybe because video doesn’t have 3D data like realtime games that can be used by FSR like scene normal or depth buffer.

mpv is cool because it can run shaders, which at some point I found someone made a shader & script to run FSR over the videos played on mpv lol.

I’m just using my lovely Kate. works well with LSP

how is it? I heard it’s a good hardware but terrible drivers, at least on windows. I don’t know the state of intel GPU drivers on Linux.
if you use gnome & nautilus, you can access googlw drive directly inside nautilus.
oh yea I vaguely remember seen that
turns out it’s been 2 years https://www.gentoo.org/news/2023/12/29/Gentoo-binary.html
gentoo isn’t environmentally friendly
but jokes aside though, does every single software update is to be compiled locally? If so then it is quite of a power hungry system for a desktop use. I’d understand if gentoo is tailored more on minimal server use that updates much less frequently.
good now you’ve littered the directory with a bunch of empty files
agree on Manjaro. It’s also easy to break in my 6 months experience in 2021. I’m now on Fedora since. Though I think EndeavourOS is a nicer choice for simplified Arch. Or maybe Archlinux itself has gotten easier with archinstall. But I myself have not tinker with distrohopping since I’m on Fedora.

jokes aside, here’s a long review about the software quality, it’s really long, there’s a summary at the bottom https://マリウス.com/a-word-on-omarchy/#summary
just in case the katakana link didn’t work, here’s the archived link https://archive.is/Ks8o5

that’s evil gnome, if written in Java

I never use nixos, but I just got intrusive thought to make that command get invoked automatically every time the config file is modified.

I’ve been using Rhythmbox since the first time I tried linux in 2016 on Ubuntu.
