A Korean developer named Sigrid Jin—featured in the Wall Street Journal earlier this month for having consumed 25 billion Claude Code tokens—woke up at 4 a.m. to the news. He sat down, ported the core architecture to Python from scratch using an AI orchestration tool called oh-my-codex, and pushed claw-code before sunrise. Oh yeah, I know their backend didn’t get exposed but it’s still looking pretty bad on them when you consider their target customer profile is enterprise. Enterprises don’t do well with onboarding security liabilities, and having stuff like this happen will almost certainly result in prospective customers considering Anthropic’s competitors.
It kinda just puts them on par with their competitors in that regard. Microsoft had massive code leaks in 2020 and 2022, and Google had leaks in 2024 and 2025. Still, it’d be nice if this delayed the IPO.
