I guess I just deleted DOSBox stagging/Boxtron after noticing that they were not needed…To be honest, I was a bit lost.

How do you that? Should I reinstall Dosbox stagging just to get rid of these messages?

800-900 is what they can ask for it I guess. If it’s more it’s gonna get slow sales, which could be okay as Valve doesn’t really need it the way Sony needs a Playstation to sell.
I don’t think I’ll buy it on release as my Steam Deck is good enough for me alongside my Playstation. I might buy it after its first price drop (if it doesn’t increase instead).
I don’t know anything about the specific computer you’re talking about, but usually the issues are with ARM.

Yes but if the only extension that breaks is important in your workflow, you’re still left with a sour taste.
That’s why, despite needing more extensions, I’ve only iept 3-4 which never break.

I’m not sure I know enough to be able to take a side, but I really enjoy Gnome even if having more customization option would be a bonus.
If Cosmic brings this without having to rely on extension, then I’m all for it.
People are gonna tell me to just use KDE, but I’ve never had a great experience with it for the few hours I’ve spent on it in desktop mode on my Steam Deck.
I’d love such a feature on Linux, but I don’t think it’s happening anytime soon.

Yeah I’m happy to have a Playstation 5 alongside my Steam Deck for demanding games like Cyberpunk.
Well for arm it might come but since you can’t really upgrade these new Macs, they are less interesting in a way…
I use a MacBook Pro 2012 as a secondary computer and I find it very exciting to install Linux on beautiful hardware like these old Macs.
It’s surprizingly Linux friendly (except reseting the wifi once a year). I don’t know why but previously I never thought you could install Linux on a Mac😅

Yeah but I don’t need so much speed as long as it’s faster than the 0.5 MB/s I’m getting for now.
It works for everything I do and is cheap and reliable.

That’s what I’ve done for now, but I’d prefer avoiding the days of emule downloads where you needed 2 days to get an illegal copy of a 30 MB mzsic album😅

It was a really enjoyable video and it’s the first time I see any video of the creator of a project I love. I also enjoy LTT videos even if people on Lemmy dislike him. I like the fact that he’s trying to have another platform than youtube, even if it ain’t the one I support (Peertube).

Well I’ve contacted GOG’s support and we’ll see what they say. If it’s still like this in a week or two, I’ll just never order games again on GOG despite wanting to support them and really own my games.

Around 0.5 MB/s through heroic and 250 kb/s thrrough Firefox from the GOG website.
But my connection is way faster with everything else…

Well downloading on my desktop PC gives me the same slow speeds so it doesn’t help.
Especially because weirdly, turning off the computer meant starting at 0% again.

Well I have only rebooted the Deck, but it also happens on my Linux pc’s.
And downloading Playstation games, Steam games, watching Peertube, watching Nba league pass, watching youtube or listening to music on Tidal works fine.
Directly from GOG or through Heroic, I got these really slow download speeds, so it’s an isolated case.
Edit: after a network test, here’s what I’m getting

To be honest, while he would be annoying if I watched 10 of his videos in a row, I don’t understand why hés so hated on Lemmy.

I’m not an advanced user, bit the fact that retrodeck was a Flatpak I could easily install on my Steam Deck without installing Deckyloader was a big plus.
Well I did everything through the app manager (Discover), so I don’t know how I could have made mistake…
