It seems the wealthy elite got sick of the “poors” creating memes and having discussions about their stupidity and horrendous actions and want to go back to us plebs just reading a finely reviewed newspaper with all the correct opinions they want us to have in it and none of this “free thought” nonsense.
Sure, it’d be a tremendous effort, but humanity has achieved tremendous feats before (pyramids, Mt Rushmore, Angkor Wat, Easter Island heads, etc).
When the final phase of the current system includes a few ultra-rich individuals with the financial capacity to buy cities, and change the fates of entire populations, the system need to be changed immediately before it gets out of control.
We’d need to institute government bodies to oversee the transition completely, with fully transparent boards of directors (good luck with that too lol), but it’s possible if there was enough collective willpower.
From greed to enshitification. If you look at it with a different view, everyone is poorer because they are greedy, they’ve ruined everyone’s lives but must make numbers go up…
This is the leading concept behind Capitalism. It’s a self-devouring system. Every. Single. Time.
The C-suite is just a bunch of ex-rich kids who never wanted to do any actual work to keep society moving. If all the marketing departments disappeared in the world, we would be significantly better off as a species.
