It’s even worse, when I tell my work Windows 11 computer to shut down and I have to choose update and shutdown because it decided to do updates, sometimes it reboots a few times but then it doesn’t turn off afterwards.

I’m never going to install Windows 11 on any of my devices, it’s so bad.

I just wait until I am at work, it’s much simpler because the coffee at work is free and I just have to press a button and wait for the cup to be full.

I already had my car when I moved to this city and now I feel attached to it, so I don’t want to get rid of it. If I didn’t already have it I wouldn’t buy a new one now though.

It is pretty useful at times though, even if I do most things with my bike, my car has a big cargo area so I can easily transport a fridge, dishwasher, etc.

I bought a 144hz 4K 32" monitor a few years ago, it wasn’t cheap (800€) but I don’t regret buying it, everything just looks better on it than it ever did on the previous monitor.

A dining table is good for when family comes over and you want to eat something together. Now I also use it to eat something with my wife, but before I rarely used it. It helped that it was a hand me down from my mother though, so I didn’t have to pay anything.

I don’t think a mill can make the copper windings in the motor and isolate them. Same with the power cable.

Financially maybe, my parents were probably still at university at my age. They’d make more money than I do afterwards though.

No, because snow is nice and beautiful. The problem is, we don’t get a white christmas (or have snow for most of the winter) every year, because where I live we mostly either get wet warm winds which lead to rain or we get cold dry winds which just lead to cold days without snow.

Yup, it was debian. I think I tried adding another repo, but gave up before I got it to work. I didn’t try to just download the file, because I had done that before and all I could do is extract whatever is inside the file, but not install it.

It was around 2 years ago, maybe Linux has gotten that much more user friendly in the last two years, but I doubt it.

I just wanted to install steam, but it wasn’t in the package manager list.

Then I tried apt-get and that didnt work, I forgot why.

You don’t have to do seriously advanced stuff on linux to run into issues without using the terminal.

My point was, even if you actually do some advanced stuff on windows you still don’t have to use the terminal.

It’s not realistic that you don’t have to use the terminal on linux if you want to do any more than web browsing and some text editing, etc.

That doesn’t mean that linux is bad, but let’s be realistic about what it is.

I tried that on linux, it doesn’t work if you want to do more than browse the web and other basic stuff.

You can do some seriously advanced stuff on windows using only GUIs

I think it is because having sex is such an inimate thing and as a sex worker you have to do it even with people you are not intimate with and at times when you dont want to be intimate. The sheer number of sex partners probably also doesnt help.

And then there are the assholes who will straight up step over boundaries and directly create trauma.

I live in Germany where sex work legal btw (and I think it should be kept that way).

Comparing the risks to other work is hard, as the risks vary from person to person and from workplace to workplace in each job.

But I would consider doing sex work if I would have to work in a callcenter otherwise lol

In an ideal world people who just want casual sex would find each other. And people who want love as well. In an ideal world everyone would also have someone they are an ideal match to.

The only way I see people getting paid to have sex in an ideal world is if they get paid because their sex is so good, like top athletes.

Sex work wouldnt exist in an ideal world, as its usually not mentally healthy for the sex worker in the long term.

But since we dont live in an ideal world I would rather legalise it and create laws that protect sex workers instead of criminalising them.

Its the same with all drugs (including cigarettes and alcohol).
