Spinoffs and alternative universes are mostly a sign it is going too far. Oh and having more prequels than the main story is immediate signal of extreme milking.

Because war industry is an old story and killing people mostly happen in global south which is benefitting capitalist core so average liberal/conservative just see it as benefit and jobs. AI is new and trendy boogeyman and it’s at home.

Sword of Convallaria, it’s a gacha game, but the gacha is probably least intrusive i ever seen in similar games, and it actually have entire story mode that you can play for free with barely even engaging in main mode since it have separate character pools. It’s also heavily modelled after Final Fantasy Tactics and imo managed to keep the vibes and feeling better than any other similar game.

It was made later since the discussion about photo also only surfaced later. And of course there was some looting, but the punishment for it was harsh, so they might want to protect the soldier in photo just in case someone not familiar with Red Army equipment (or anticommunist propagandists) made the accusation. Remember that even Zhukov was once accused of possessing items from looting and was so scared of that accusation he lived in abject fear for few weeks. Ultimately he wasn’t officially accused because he was celebrated war hero, but he was sidelined somewhat, he also never forgiven this which might been a factor in him later joining Khrushchev (Losurdo wrote about it i think).
should’ve just went with “so what”
Right, after horrors Soviet soldiers witnessed in occupied USSR and Poland while marching west i’m quite amazed Germany wasn’t completely razed to the ground.

Your brain on anticommunism: “there was no looting involved but they hidden the looting anyways”.

It wasn’t even a watch but the wrist compass, they were issued to junior officers and senior NCO’s in Red Army, and the soldier in photo was senior NCO.

I have many good ones, but i think my favourite is this one:

It’s from the famous victory parade in Moscow in 24.06.1945, Japan and USSR were not at war yet, so in a truly masterful trolling stroke, Japan was invited to parade to celebrate defeat of their own allies. On the photo you can see Japanese army colonel and a navy officer (hat visible partially) congratulate marshal Zhukov while French, British and American officers are waiting in line.
As of why, it never fail to make me smile.

Idk what science fiction you have been reading, but nearly entire genre is pretty much dark by now. The only visions which are “better” are just the unreal end of history and the return to status quo space operas which are also usually centered around epic military conflicts and completely gloss over, or rather run away from the contradictions of capitalism (“look, the universe is infinite, we can keep expanding forever!”). A LOT of works are just complete dystopias or postapo scenarios.

If you are white, Poland is ok. Visibly queer people will probably hear some slurs (especially outside major cities). Chance for a real violent hate crime is low though, because in Poland violent crimes are generally very low.
Just stay away from Polish language internet, it’s minefield of fascism.

What Conan said. But with more grumbling about this or that hurting.
So, you are saying it’s Entartete Kunst

Master of Orion (1993)
That’s pretty hard, most artists use some kind of tools and medium to create art. Poetry recitations maybe?

In Poland most libertarians are at best petty bougie failchildren thinking they would be billionaires when they grow up, those that do grow up without touching grass (or too dense to feel the grass) are usually turning into unhinged austrian cultists with monarchist and nazist inclinations. Deeply unserious people

I referred to christianity from your comment and bible because my knowledge about islam is way less than about christianity. I had read Quran but i was not impressed at all, though it was more consistent than bible at least. Though i seem to remember there was nearly 15 centuries of various people writing interpretations of it, of which some was even enforced.
Also we seem to shift the topic, the foundation of society is not any text or another, it’s the mode of production. And the shifting of holy texts and religious canons excellently illustrates that they are not any rock but the cover (base and superstructure, remember), as you mentioned yourself with how the bible was used.

Not true christians!
A text that serves as the axiomatic rock behind a culture’s ideology cannot be corrupted
I could hardly find a text that went through more and bigger revisions than bible.

Old anarchist still on duty
Explains why they think lemmy is more ban happy than reddit. It certainly is, for genocide bothsiders.
