SHOW_ME_YOUR_ASSHOLE@lemm.eeto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•After you blow your nose, do you look in the tissue?36·4 months agoYes, I need to make sure that what’s in the tissue matches what I felt fly out of my nose so I know it’s not stuck in my beard.
SHOW_ME_YOUR_ASSHOLE@lemm.eeto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•Why aren't there 1.5v AA rechargeable batteries?8·5 months agoI gave up on them as well. They’d always be dead after sitting in a drawer and a lot of devices I use AA or AAA batteries in don’t like the lower voltage. The devices complain about the batteries being low and I could never tell if they were dead from lying around for too long or if the device thought they were dead just because of the low voltage.
I have the exact opposite experience. As soon as I hit the trailhead my phone gets turned off and put in a waterproof bag. I almost never take it back out until the trip is over.
Though my wife keeps hers on hand for taking pictures so I guess I benefit from her phone being handy.
That’s kinda genius.
The grease is what makes Pizza Hut so good. Get some pepperoni and sausage on top and it’s even greasier!

SHOW_ME_YOUR_ASSHOLE@lemm.eeto Asklemmy@lemmy.ml•What's a piece of technology you LOVE the progress of?5·9 months agoAccording to Rick Beato on YouTube this is why music is shit nowadays. He’s got real “old man yells at cloud” energy and he’s fucking wrong. The fact that someone can make music easily means that there is tons of great music being produced because the barriers to entry are not prohibitive anymore.
In regards to the advrider comment, I don’t find those ridiculously long-running threads all that convenient even though they are very useful. In your example the WR250R thread could have multiple subtopics being discussed at once in the same thread which I find frustrating.
For example, one guy might ask about tires and while that’s being discussed another guy shows up asking about a big bore kit to make more power. Now there are two discussions happening at the same time and all I can do is view the thread chronologically. Then someone else shows up asking what oil everyone uses. Then someone new joins and says “Hey it’s not possible to go back and read through all 2300 pages in this thread, what GPS are you all using?”
Like sure it’s great that all the information is in that one thread but navigating through it only in chronological order can be super frustrating.
I’m a motorcyclist and that argument is fucking stupid (not you specifically). If you’re drowning out nearby conversation just so you feel safe when you ride a motorcycle maybe you shouldn’t be riding.
Again this isn’t a personal attack on you, I just hate that i get lumped in with the loud pipe mouth breathers when I’ve ridden 200,000 miles on a quiet motorcycle without getting turned into road pizza.
Same here. I’ve always grabbed the latest drivers from the Nvidia page and installed the dot run file manually from a command line. From there everything just works.
