Meanwhile on my Windows PC the correct Nvidia drivers always download and work right out of the box.
For Linux that varies distro from distro.


Tell that to every one of my installs.
Literally every time I try a distro, I have to hope the NVIDIA drivers download and actually work. Then I have to hope the distro actually switches between it and the integrated GPU.
So:
One out of ~12 windows versions not installing a driver = bad
Only 3 Linux distros out of hundreds installing a driver = good
Got it.
Also damn near every Linux distro has some sort of bloatware. There’s always apps I don’t want because I won’t use them or because I prefer something else. I didn’t install them, they came with the distro. They are bloatware.
Ubuntu comes to mind as the biggest offender.
