Funny seeing this here after someone linked a log of him kicking a transfem user that was flirting with his “custom AI” on IRC, lmao

What is the alternative to Ubuntu (lets pretend snap doesn’t exist) if recommending someone a distro where you don’t need to use the CLI to install apps?
Unfortunately there are many apps that can’t be found on flathub/discover.
I was always curious but never moved over completely because I had this idea that it was difficult to run things (games, etc). I had a laptop with dual boot with Ubuntu for the longest time, then I started to use WSL to code.
The thing that made me finally switch was the steam deck. It showed me it was possible and now we don’t have a single machine with Windows at home.
Thinking about it now, I don’t know why everyone kept recommending to use Ubuntu, it was probably one of the main reasons why it took me so long to switch.

I just realized I have such cable in my desk (brand new), DP to HDMI 4k 60fps
My spouse need something for the other way around for his desk setup

I really wish I could find a TV within my desired specs that had DisplayPort. We will buy a Steam Machine to use it in place of our docked Steam Deck in the living room, so being able to use DP would be amazing.

It was too cringe I couldn’t finish it

I don’t get it either. Most of us just want to help by signaling there is an alternative but maybe people are resistant to let go because they paid for Plex, I think.

Yes it can be accessed outside the network. We use Tailscale. Our Jellyfin setup cost us the energy to run it, lol.

The latest SteamOS update did break Decky quite a bit.

Your comment is a good example of waste of bytes, unhelpful and rude

Two things can be true at the same time:

Y’all are forgetting how hostile Mastodon users can be. Personally I feel a little bit scared of posting anything there.
Thank you for the reply! Do you mind sharing where you got the files from?
Did you print the parts yourself or you got them from somewhere else? I want to go 10’’ but it seems a little bit hard to find the parts I have in mind here in Canada
It seems you care enough to make your first comment on Lemmy!
What the heck people, would you interact with people like this in person?

Blasphemous 2 and Tunic!
I use Librewolf as my daily driver, however it breaks a lot of websites. We had to purchase plane tickets yesterday and to use regular Firefox.
I was super hyped for Ladybird but there was this weird thing regarding pronouns on their docs (last year?) and no matter the outcome, I just decided to not follow it anymore.
I have Chromium installed for things that break even on regular Firefox and for comparing websites when I need.
On mobile (grapheneOS), I am currently using Firefox Nightly, I think because it was the only one I was able to install extensions from custom repositories, I am not sure if that’s still the case. I know I can (and should use) Vanadium, but I always miss my FF extensions when I do it. I play a lot of things so I love when I am automatically redirected from Fandom to a Breeze wiki instance, for example.
I never tried any other browsers of the list, and honestly I am very curious on the differences between Librewolf and Waterfox. Wasn’t able to do the research by myself yet.

I couldn’t finish the video, it made me physically uncomfortable because of the cringe, lol. His team is totally at fault for this.
