Am I going too hard by making shortcuts to start and stop SSH on my steamdeck desktop for easier file transfer? Feels like a basic security step when connecting to other networks, while not wanting to remember the commands to enable, also wanting to avoid keeping the perms permanently open for the sake of unknown backdoors. Even added windows stating if it was started or stopped in the case of extra sauce or herb.

I try to avoid paying them any attention unless someone wants me to look at or touch them thanks to the implication. Most of the time it’s just a place where I shouldn’t look, so it gets a little awkward in my head when someone has on a graphic tee that I want to read or look at.
Something to work around most of the time, but then can make a partner happy when they are appreciated as themselves when vulnerable enough to bare that much, which adds a little special dynamic that gets the brain chemicals doing their thing.
Right now, large external storage drives plugged into it through a dock, and SSH to access from my desktop so the drives don’t spin up any time my windows machine thinks it needs to see what’s on every drive.
That and connected speakers to use it as a boombox connected to SomaFM.
It’s a pretty good mini-pc when not being used as a gaming portable.
