Well I recently tried Niri, a scrolling window manager and felt the same.

Katie Tightpussy ??? Is she a bond girl from the 80s?
Fair enough, but most solutions to restrict data gathering by windows are often worked around by Microsoft via eventual windows updates which is a perpetual risk. In my experience, using Linux is less of a headache in the long run.
Not a bad idea, but I was thinking of giving my PC to a younger sibling with a cheaper GPU, so get them into PC gaming so they stop bothering me for switch 2.
The only reason I am tempted by the above is because of their smaller brick size.

Well recently moved to Hyprland and the installation scripts installed ton of anime girls neo fetch pictures / backgrounds and neon colored/catpuccin themes everywhere. It took me a long time to get used to it.
Yeah. I have been using tiling managers for years now but if you tile too much on a single workspace, you make windows too small as you run out of space. Niri allows you to extend the same workforce by scrolling sideways or down, so you can keep windows organized like you want in the same workspace.
