Can’t you just rollback? I haven’t done this myself, but rolling back should be a strong suit of an atomic system like bazzite.

YES PLEASE! I really like to buy games on GOG but having to go through 3rd party launchers to play them under linux sucks. It works, but I think a proper linux integration would really appeal to GOGs userbase, which supposably gives a fuck about digital freedom.

Allegedly, backups simply couldn’t be kept, due to the G-Drive system’s massive capacity.
X Doubt. Things like S3 can also store massive amounts of data and still support backups or at least geo replication. It’s probably just a matter of cost.
But it gets worse. It turns out that before the fire, the Ministry of the Interior and Safety had apparently instructed government employees to store everything in the G-Drive cloud and not on their office PCs.
Which is totally fine and reasonable? The problem isn’t the order to use the centralized cloud system, but that the system hasn’t been sufficiently secured against possible data loss.
There’s a crowdsourced list of compatible banking apps which could give you a hint. My banking app kept working.
What doesn’t work is face unlock and contactless payment.l, e.g. Google Wallet. For the latter there may be workarounds, but I didn’t care.
I did the exact same thing, ignored the AI agent update and moved to Graphene. It really isn’t hard, the Web Installer is extremely handy.
For the migration I just made a list of my apps, created backups of those that needed one, installed GOS and reinstalled my apps. Nothing special.

I’ve had great success with restic. It will handle your 4TB just fine, here’s some stats of mine:
Total File Count: 78374
Total Size: 13.324 TiB
and another one, not as large but with lots of files
Total File Count: 1295210
Total Size: 2.717 TiB
Restic will automatically deduplicate your data so your duplicates won’t waste storage at your backup location.
I’ve recently learned about backrest which can serve as a restic UI if you’re not comfortable with the cli, but I haven’t used it myself.
To clean your duplicates at the source I would look into Czkawka as another lemming already suggested.

You’re right.
We’ve decided that IPFS is not yet ready for prime time. We’ll still link to files on IPFS from Anna’s Archive when possible, but we won’t host it ourselves anymore, nor do we recommend others to mirror using IPFS. Please see our Torrents page if you want to help preserve our collection.

I’d recommend Quad9 or Mullvad as both have a good record on privacy. DNS is also often unencrypted by default, so make sure to use DoT or DoH while you’re at it.
Like OCR?

There’s being blunt, and there’s abuse. Linus attacks code, not people.
Maybe today, but certainly not in the past. I don’t doubt that Linus always had the best intentions for the kernel, but he nevertheless told other developers they should be retroactivly aborted. It’s hard for me to imagine that this version of Linus and a Linux CoC could’ve existed at the same time.
But I also get the impression that he did change quite a bit since then, now being blunt instead of abusive as you said. This shouldn’t be inherently incompatible with a CoC.

Regardless, though, my network setup usually consists of Factory Default Settings -> Assign a Static IP -> Configure port-based VLANs. It’s not particularly advanced. Most likely I wouldn’t even need to use anything other than the web-based management interface.
That’s pretty much what I’m doing with my Mikrotik switches too and I never had to touch the cli.

They’re saying that the proposed gender change (in the docs) will most likely not be accepted. That’s still bullshit, but to insinuate transphobia based on this comment alone goes too far IMHO.
Funny to seem him arguing against HibernateDelaySec because of possible data loss, yet if systemd-tmpfiles purges your fucking home directory it’s “documented behaviour”. The superiority complex of some people…

One of us! One of us! One of us!
Yeah I get that, a gaming system in particular should just work™. Luckily bazzite has been good to me in that regard, but I’m also using an AMD card - sorry to hear about your troubles.
