I think in the USA’s case it will be much like South Africa, where there’s still tremendous resentment against Afrikaners even though they are an even smaller minority and no longer form government.
One example was more than enough, I get it

It’s an averaged-out view of what “the internet” thinks, with extra massaging to make sure it isn’t too offensive.
There multiple fundamental mistakes with that…
Would explaining them be more productive?
Sure, but I don’t get paid for this.
You want to be productive, take the time to explain all the ways their wrong. You don’t have time for that?
Let everyone else at least know it’s wrong.
But what you just did was completely pointless
You could have just told us you don’t know, we didn’t need an example
Who cares what AI thinks?
Like, what’s the point of the screenshot?
I have this one cousin who’s a total fuck up and didn’t graduate 7the grade, he stopped by to get some meth money and I decided to ask him about the future!
That’s what you’re doing.
No one cares AI said something dumb, and you caring makes it seem like you actually believe AI is anything more than a chatbot.
Bruh…
Socialism is economic policy…
The economic policy of those countries is socialism.
They are also democracies.
Like if I asked what kind of car you had you could say “Honda” or “a red Honda”.
Their not two different answers because one included unrelated information.
If someone asks what kind of government they have, “democratic socialism” would be correct, because only giving one of the main axises wouldn’t tell the full story.
But since we’re talking economic systems, the democratic part is superfluous
Yeah, that’s what’s going to get you.
Maybe if you loaned/rented them, but not many would go thru that hassle.
And you’d need your own locked down ecosystem they can’t crack.
On top of all that, I’m pretty sure even libraries got sued over doing this.
I remeber someone once tried to stream physical blu rays online to people for a small fee. And that didn’t work out legally either.
but if the customer wants to get the physical version of his book, I have to take back his digital version.
I mean, how can they “give back” a digital file?
Because countries that call themselves communist are just dictators lying about it…
I mean, you’re asking about two separate political axis: economy, and control.
Look at the Nordic countries and even most Western Europeans and you’ll see socialist countries that aren’t authoritarian.
Theres not a single communist country tho. So when you talk like there are, people assume you have no clue what you’re talking about about.
Like, what countries do you think are communist?
People don’t report shit, then complain stuff goes unmoderated.
Like, you don’t have to report every single comment a troll makes, but at least report one so a mod looks at it.
Edit:
Here’s a good example. An account I have blocked replied to me. If they go into a sub I moderate and start acting like a jackass, I’ll never know because I have them blocked.
The only way I’d see it, is if someone reported it.
And incredibly regional as well.
Any isolated language with a small local population is going to differentiate quickly, and while the Internet is bringing everyone together and making written language more consistent, it’s not like deaf people send each other videos online, they just use written English because it’s insanely easier and faster for everyone.
For sure.
My mini disc cost as much as the first iPod when it came out. It was either 3 or 5 of the discs equaled it’s storage and I think it even took rechargeable AA batteries. Or at least had an attachment that would work with them.
And it has the remote in the cord that gave song title and playlist info.
It was better in everyway. But the promise of “new” and the marketing made everyone go iPod. I never met a single other person at the time that had a mini disc.
But being able to just swap a disc with someone at school and then upload it back to your computer at home would have been huge at the time.
Literal peer to peer file sharing without the internet. And it might have been normalized for an entire generation if Steve Jobs wasn’t so good at marketing.
It’s nothing genetic…
At least not for people
Capsaicin is what makes peppers hot, and all mammals are sensitive to it. But birds aren’t.
And birds are better are distributing seeds than mammals, so some peppers that evolved to have a lot of capsaicin spread much further. There was an advantage to large mammals not woofing a whole pepper down in one bite.
The difference in people is some like the endorphin rush from their bodies thinking they’re in actual pain, and some people don’t think it’s worth it.
But the vast amount of people that don’t like spicy food never work up to it, they just go straight to something crazy spicy and then refuse anything remotely spicy.
Like, if your first time drinking alcohol you just chug a fifth of everclear, it’s probably gonna be a while before your second night drinking.
Not really…
They use the same propaganda tactics as Russia. No matter what the result is or what they said before any mission starts, they declare everything means they succeded and that their now a world super power.
This won’t end well…
Not because of Linux or Windows, but because India’s government is one of the most corrupt in the world, and everyone is just going to get bribed into saying “this is great” and it’ll get implemented without any flaws being addressed
I always forget there was a real historical figure and assume Greensleeves is Gull’s little sister from those old Magic books.
Not sure how well they hold up, but like 25 years ago Arena and the Greensleeves trilogy seemed like the best books ever.
