And I’m saying after cross posting for years nobody cares and they are all happy to read your posts on Musks or Zuckerbergs platform surrounded by ads and making those billionaires even richer.
Those people will not switch as long as you put the content conveniently there, there is no incentive for them. And even once you stop they still will not move from there because it’s just too convenient to not move.
I for one don’t want to put more money into billionaires pockets, therefore I’m advocating against cross posting automatically.
I disagree. I tried to cross post to the silos for 11 years https://jeena.net/notes/1 and I couldn’t move anyone to an alternative platform. Cross posting only legitimizes the other platform and gives them free content to exploit.
This website says:
Total Servers: 18,851
+19K since last month
So last month there -149 servers?
This is my list from 2017: https://jeena.net/podcasts-listening
Interestingly I still listen to mos of them with the exception of the technology ones. Somehow technology podcasts started boring me a couple of years ago so I stopped listening to them, with one notable exception, the HomeAssistant podcast.
Wouldn’t it be easier to just subscribe to what you want to see instead of blocking what you don’t want to see?
Also to use Lemmy you can set up your own instance and set the rules yourself.
I remember there was one person I think she was 14 and was asking a lot of relationship advise, first I thought this was a troll but she kept at it for some time and it seemed like a genuine young person trying to understand the world around them.
I don’t think that Lemmy is the most appropriate place to do AO but Facebook, Instagram, reddit are even worse for that.
Hm ok, English is not my first language but what I meant is that they started making noise in the living room and we had to stop.
Yes, one of the children woke up.

I just tried now for the first time and no it doesn’t crash when I press “customize homepage”.
I switched to https://librewolf.net/ on Desktop and https://gitlab.com/ironfox-oss/IronFox on Android.
Aah, tho med brain didn’t lie to me, good to know!
Oh wow, that was legit my second Linux distro back in 2002 after failed attempts with SUSE.
But for some reason my brain remembered that it was called Mandrake, not Mandriva.
For a smaller instance I would always go with PieFed, it’s much much easier to set up and to maintain, uses way less resources and has basically the same feature set.
Resources:
I think that should be it.
That’s pretty funny, not gonna lie.
We have access to them from work, perhaps I can use that.
That is a very difficult question, but some smaller things, I’ll be able to meet my parents and siblings, while I couldn’t last year, even if it’s only for one week.
