I’m center-right, but purging “woke” will only divide FOSS, there is a reason tech-billionaires also want to purge “woke” from FOSS.
Same. Capitalism will kill us all if we don’t do something, that’s why I’m a social distributist.
The biggest issue for me is its ties to the Dark Enlightenment movement, which is much more scary than any -phobia or -ism.
Snaps ruined Ubuntu.
Yes. Mostly people who are too lazy to install Arch and also want a preset hyprland config provided by the distro (instead of just taking one from github)
Omarchy has ties to Dark Enlightenment stuff so hard pass.

Linux@lemmy.ml•Run Linux from USB and use storage only for... storage: yay or nay (and why)?
3·1 hour agoThe thing is USB sticks are much more unstable than an nvme or something, so you’re more likely to lose your data. They can also be stolen way easier than an nvme or hard drive, but if you encrypt it w/ a strong password that shouldn’t be an issue.

The only justifications for using flatpak are having a musl system or if the software has way too many dependencies. Use your package manager when possible, otherwise use an appimage, or find a way to get the .deb or .rpm working on your distro.
Because every linux youtuber and their mom is making a video about it. And when you add buzzwords like “Agentic” and tell everyone that Omarchy is the future and will bring about the YOTLD, normies start flocking to it.
