In Mint, what program are you using to make USB drive? Sometimes the program used to make the live usb can be the cause of the installation issue. Are you using Etcher or Unetbootin or dd or something else?

I have some homework for you.
Can you check your bios and tell us how it’s currently configured.
What application are you using to create the live USB? Rufus, Etcher, other? If you used only one so far, like Rufus, can you switch to Etcher or vice versa.
Can you try installing from grub prompt and not live login using debian 13 or Zorin OS.

I am confused. What is this a photo of? I mean, why do I see icons on the left if you are unable to install and boot to login screen?

Has there ever been another live audience sitcom that was as down to earth as Roseanne?
Reminds me of the Novena.

I don’t know why you got downvoted. This project has been my default go to for installing Gentoo for a while now.

Gentoo has had an official binary repo for a little while now. Makes installing desktops and browsers pretty painless if you don’t need to tweak the default use flags. Just be sure nothing requires qtwebengine and you’re good to go (or mask it to prevent it being pulled in).

From the AerynOS About page:
AerynOS is a modern Linux distribution using atomic updates, cutting-edge tooling and rock-solid reliability. Built by industry veterans with decades of experience, it represents the next evolution in Linux distributions - delivering a safe and efficient system.
Our fully atomic system leverages the LLVM toolchain and libc++ by default, delivering superior diagnostics and package diversity. We’re not afraid to challenge convention - thoughtfully replacing traditional components with modern alternatives that prioritize safety and reliability.
We closely follow the work of organizations dedicated to making software safer, including the Prossimo project and their Memory Safety initiative, the Tweede Golf team, and the Trifecta Tech Foundation. By monitoring and adopting innovations from these pioneers, we can integrate proven solutions like memory-safe replacements for critical system components.
As we continuously evaluate and adopt the best solutions, our architectural decisions enable powerful features like atomic updates that can safely transform your entire system, complete with built-in deduplication and instant rollbacks.
This is the future of Linux distribution design, built on a foundation of experience and innovation.

You saw the comment and verified it. We’ll done.

It doesn’t?

Yes because that’s where it’s hosted and it was necessary after it was DMCA’d.
I’m not sure where updates are pulled from once it’s installed.

I use it. Never thought about security. I’m lazy.

Maybe it’s a thing blind authors do so as not to cause confusion to other blind readers. Dunno.
Clearly he isn’t responsible then /s

Yo, this is what I do b

I think I misunderstood your question earlier. It’s before the can is opened. The can in that picture has a tab that sits very firmly against the can lid. It’s hard to get a grip on it without using your fingernails and the tab also has little sharp bits so its very easy for the tab to cut the sensitive fleshy tissue under your fingernails as you pull the tab up. So I switch to using a spoon to jimmy it up before switching to using fingers to finish the job.

Yeah I’m starting to think there is a bit of confusion bout the issue. Oh well.

Apparently some side cutting openers cut in a way that there are no sharp edges either on the lid or the opened can. Someone linked a video about it in crossposted thread.

I’ll try this method next.
It could come down to resources and personnel. Before moving to fedora I used KDE with gento/openrc (systemd was an option, I just wasn’t familiar with it). I could only do that because someone or a team of people maintained it. Not every distro will necessarily be able to keep up.
Or maybe they just don’t like systemd.
