That pretty much just comes down to the Linux kernel being used afaik.
So figure out which version of the kernel supports your GPU and compare it to the one that Mint ships with.
They should financially support Heroic Launcher and add it to their website. Why invent something that already exists and is open source?
You could actually do the same on Linux, if you paid for ZorinOS. Not sure if the support is via phone though?

I was only using “from iOS to Android” as an example. I believe it would be equally difficult going from Android to iOS. As you, I also despise using MacOS. It’s a struggle, because I’m not used to it in any way.
Canonical made Snap, so would be weird if they didn’t ship with it in Ubuntu.
