I mean take a look at smartphones, it is what most “normal users” prefer using nowadays.

prefer? Do you know how difficult (or often impossible) it is to modify your phone’s OS?

That’s not a ‘preference’, that’s an imposition!

beep.

for my OS i want complete mutability. I’ve spent the last 2 days learning NixOS because it’s bringing something completely different to the table. It made me like Arch more :)
Most of the “fork of a fork of a fork” distributions of today will probably disappear in a couple of years. At least you’ll learn from this endeavour.

are they also blocking VPNs?

i don’t want to google.groups from lemmy to ask about it

hello cm0002

using tor is not illegal and what you do with tor is not readable to your isp.

using tor to make your libgen visit unreadable to your isp would work

You can still download the old 32-Bit releases, see the “previous versions” section on the Download page.

from SystemRescue homepage

apparently they won’t be “excommunicated”

from https://www.techradar.com/vpn/vpn-privacy-security/i-dont-like-that-he-made-this-donation-mullvad-ceo-reacts-to-co-founders-donation-to-controversial-swedish-populist-party

Mullvad said it would “gladly refund” any customers who choose to cancel their subscriptions or switch to another provider due to philosophical disagreements.

i would like to read about this

also i think they’re technically nazbols.

what’s a nazbol?

Anyone passionate about KDE and has a vision to share is welcome to submit a proposal.

i’m out.

older software is simpler too.

If it works for you and doesn’t have the hundred new tools you never use that bloated it to 10 times its size, why change it?

no nm-applet or volume bar?

you would have the same problem with any distro you try. you just need to search forums and tweak a little

for example: https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=466301

i had the same problem but it’s been years and i don’t remember how i fixed it, sorry

arch

that’s why i ended up with a “rolling release”. No more iteration problems :)

MX Linux is a midweight, desktop-oriented Linux distribution based on Debian Stable 13 “trixie” that emphasizes stability, performance, and ease of use.

Why not Debian directly instead of MX?

take a look at https://www.laquadrature.net/en/ before you celebrate.

fr*nch don’t give a fuck about privacy. Don’t confuse national security with privacy. This is happening because U.S. is no longer considered an ally.

try a non wayland spin like fedora xfce https://fedoraproject.org/spins/xfce/download/

older machines get hiccups when they meet wayland
