Do your will
If you lose the ability to do your own will, and only do what is expected from you, that’s when you lose yourself
Disregard society. Doesn’t matter if you’re currently confirming or not, when you do something.
You do it, because of your own will.
I think, with that ethic base framework, you can just be yourself.
Ah, some piercings in some places can feel very nice
But I’m with you on the Ideology stuff - especially the fascism part
Although I don’t really follow any specific channels, that’s probably a very good approach
Surprisingly, haven’t seen that with FreeTube
But I use my mobile client much more than FreeTube on my PC…
Hopefully we can still find a way around
Although, maybe it’s time to sever the ties and just move to PeerTube - which would mean, that the will need to also produce some content
Since some weeks I’m also getting an error in NewPipe/PipePipe, that my IP is temporarily blocked at YouTube - although I usually can just immediately resume and only get the error in the middle of the video like once or twice
Anyone else - and especially maybe with a solution?
Thank you!
I have no clue here, so can you clarify your last sentence?
Where is the quality better? Europe or USA?
Just check it with lsusb on Linux and you’ll see the device and vendor id stays the same, independent of the port - else no udev rules would work
Don’t know though what ever the fuck windows is doing…
That’s because some program still accesses it
Could be just your file browser (“explorer”) that has a window open with the content of that device, or maybe some program has a hiccup and didn’t free it’s file pointer
Usually you have a vendor and a device id to identify the connected device on the bus
You’re right though, that in every different port it will get its own memory allocated an so on (at least I also believe that), but that’s no reason to not identify the already known device
I’m not sure how the image looks on your side, but on my end there is nothing highlighted, but only striked through and I can’t read these text parts anymore
And you still went for your edited version on not just gave up and post the original?
Not sure what to say. Maybe respect for your commitment?
Doesn’t think that he/she is the boss, but much more the secretary of people doing the actual work.
He/she is reasonable to provide the people doing the actual work to provide them with the environment and resources they need
I’m sporting a Framework 16 since a few months and had some battery problems at first. Due to work load, I couldn’t really get into the problem and something I changed or updated resolved it.
But I sent a mail to framework support at that time and the answer was just awesome.
Not just some typical 1st level response to update or restart, but real technical questions and obvious interest in my problem.
They even sounded a bit sad, that I couldn’t really tell them anything, because the issue resolved without me being able to pinpoint it.
On that note, I also have to say, that Tuxedo support was really good.
My Pulse 15 battery was starting to get a belly, and they sent me a new one without much questions - and no pay.
Now, after like 4-5 years, I have my old Pulse to my nephew and saw that the CMOS battery is dead. Again they just sent me a new one.
Some companies really deserve to get recommended.
I completely get all that, but looking at the typical user base that uses mainstream social media platforms, like TikTok, I don’t see them being knowledgeable about some china centered alternative app
I just don’t see, how so many would switch to that, as most of them wouldn’t have known about it a week ago.
Was it promoted on TikTok?
Personally I still don’t believe that a completely unknown app was suddenly getting new members in the means of some grassroots protest.
Maybe it is more (or gotten) more known through TikTok and that’s why it was basically unknown for me.
Still, I think this is artificially hyped as a reaction to a potential TikTok ban and not some organic growth - even taking into account people switching in protest
I think, I’ve heard about this app like once in the last years. And, not wanting to sound self centered, but as a software dev and quite interested in anything internet, I find this development rather strange.
Was “little red book” promoted on TikTok or how did so many people, who are usually just consumers of feeds, suddenly heard of that new app?
Especially, when I have a really hard time to have them install a new app, like Signal, in other cases.
Ok, this wasn’t really a good answer to your comment, sorry. You’re right, that the TikTok feed just builds individual bubbles, so right wingers will get more right wing info and the other way round.
But the sudden switch to a practically unknown app just… seems fishy
Isn’t it already a right wing propaganda machine?
Yeah, was the first thing I thought, how the fuck do they want to cool them?
