For the record, I support emulation, but I don’t lie to myself that it’s morally defensible.
The key wasn’t used in a book or in the hex values for a flag. That’s like saying the formula for Coke can’t be proprietary because it could be put in a book.
Software can absolutely be proprietary, and that key is part of the software.
The emulator they shut down was being sold for a profit. They haven’t gone after Dolphin, which is free.
They’re not bogus. The emulator that shut down were selling a product using a proprietary encryption key owned by Nintendo.
That’s why Dolphin still exists.
Emulation is perfectly legal if you own the game.
That’s why you should scan every torrent download before opening the files.
Get a bucket, gloves, and laundry detergent and hand wash them. They’re not thick fabric, so you probably just need to let them soak for a bit then rinse.
If you wash them right after wearing them, it’s going to make it a lot less if a hassle.
Another option is to get a bunch of fabric glasses/sex toy pouches and use them as delicate bags.
Nvidia Shield and FireTV cubes are a decent replacement.
But yeah, you’re going to have input lag with those options. It might not be noticeable with something like Civ, but for stuff like Elden Ring or other games where timing is important it can cause issues.

Just an FYI, temperatures in a car in direct sunlight can exceed 165F. Very quickly.
I know this because I left a glass thermometer under my seat for an hour one summer. When I came back to grab it, the glass has burst (max on the scale was 165F).
I have no idea about lens coating changes over time and their heat tolerance, but the insides of cars can be fucking awful.

Look into the servarr suite. I just add what I want and it finds and downloads it for me.
I use the *arr suite to manage things for me. There’s lidarr for music, radarr for movies, sonarr for TV, readarr for ebooks, bazarr for subtitles, and prowlarr to manage trackers/usenet.
