Yeah it’s a fun ride.I run a cluster and the storage is replicated and distributed among them. 3/6 of my disks were QLC. One disk went bad super early and caused a bad latency but the other 5 disks kept performance up for the most part. Once I found out it was hardware I went with an enterprise SSD with a a 3 DWPD rating (drive wipe per day) and those beasts are so good. TLC m.2s seem to be okay too but I don’t think I’ll ever touch QLC again.
I have 24TB of wasted SSDs. I learned not to buy QLC ever again haha

Lidarr Import List might interest you. You can say connect to Spotify’s playlists for top hits and have it auto add the albums to your library. Then you can use metadata on the music for smart playlists.

Pfsense got some bad blood for doing shady things to make opnsense look bad. Beyond that, Unifi management is easy to set up and less to mess around with and has auto updates if you keep the contoller up and enable it.when I used opnsense and pfsense even, I left it out of date since I wasn’t following for updates, and it was a lot more micro managing than I wanted to on a router even though I knew how.
Got time? Want to learn networking? Want more advanced configs? Go wih opnsense/pfsense
Want to have time to do other things? Unifi
Edit: also not sure if pfsense or opnsense does, but unifi has the best rated local integration with controller and home assistant. Easy reboot of PoE devices, monitoring PoE power usage, transmission rates on ports, automation, enabling scheduling WiFi networks or security settings, presence detection by tracking peoples phones connected to the WiFi, etc.
I am really glad I bought old NUCs instead of the latest for my self hosting. That being said, I wonder if this is going to cause the market to flip and the old generations to temporarily be more expensive while 13/14 generations tank?

It requires a certain security software installed on windows. Yes it is still going on since IT admins have to boot into safe mode to fix it.

Sure but it’s another constant background connectiom instead of using something that combines them all into one (a push server). It’s great not using Google’s push server, but I’d rather something not eat more of my phones battery when it could use my own private push server that’s already running in the background.
I see you don’t use FCM for push notifications. Are there plans fpr supporting https://unifiedpush.org/?
Edit looks like that’s a no, and ignored in bug reports and feature requests only on reddit. The email service got me interested, but not till unified push is supported

I am probably not the best for advice, this harrasment needs nipped imo and consulting a lawyer seems like a good idea. I think it’d help having legal documentation in case it worsens. If they try to hurt your reputation then you have legal backup to sue and get a restraining order if it gets worse. They probably can help not going nuclear first too.

Yeah I know someone who has a bolt and waited to get the new battery so they practically got a new car. Unfortunately I live in an area that can get lake effect snow and AWD is nice to get out of the driveway. I bought Subaru’s EV after waiting like 8 months. Sodium batteries are already starting to be used for EVs. Yes it’s lower density, but I’m sure lithium did in it’s infancy too.
Hydrogen is a BS excuse to bring environmentally friendly as carbon capture being the only method Fossil fuel industry is. They just want to own the distribution network which they can’t do with EVs. The only reason they are doing both is because all car manufacturers were told they need to do EVs.
Most of hydrogen is obtained from splitting carbon from Methane. Alternatively the “green” way to make it uses more electricity than charging a battery. Then there is the cost of transporting it to gas stations. Then after all that the engine is less efficient.
So the only benefit is you refuel faster, but it always will be less green than EVs, even more so when sodium based batteries are mass produced instead of lithium.
I highly doubt this is true.
