Not yet anyway, but it might have a ripple effect on other countries doing the same.
Just like EU consumer laws sometimes gets adopted by other countries a few years later.

If it was me, I would suggest that everything where you can post stuff to a feed/on a profile is considered Social Media.
Direct messaging is not. But if they implement other features into the app, like stories, it’s Social Media again.

Because these rules are not about you and me, but are important on a much larger scale.

Omg I might have done that to some people! Never realised!
Previously I skipped downloadning the “unneccesary” files like .nfo og random .txt, or subtitles for other languages.
Never considered that would result in incomplete downloads for others.

If you want a new console + a PC at your TV, I think the new Steam Machine could be nice for that.
Running SteamOS (Linux) this should be good, or am I missing something?

/s right? Because it’s obvious people wont age verify for porn, when there’s a thousands alternatives.

Their biggest and saddest win, is making truth debatable.

Depends on who you are.
If you often discover music and searches for songs, your method is not the experience prefered.
If you always listen to your playlists, and sometimes want to add a new one, yours work great.
What everyone really wants, is a player that autodownloads and plays while downloadning, like with torrents, and then gives the option to auto remove after x days or keep forever. Everything happening under the hood.
Otherwise I’m afraid it will keep away most people.

How could an IP gained now, ever have impact on existing games? How would an IP even be gained, if they are not the only ones having this mechanic today?

And it will always be more expensive at the start. Like any new technology.

Fuck shareholders, fuck META and fuck Zuggi Boggie. Fuck everyone involved.
Have a nice day :)

Good on them. Nice that they speak up about bad proposals and call them out.
But it would never had gone through anyway. Still nice they tell the world who is trying to act in bad faith, this case the ISPs.

Cant remember last time a saw a new movie I wanted to see.

There’s a big difference in generative image AI, and then AI for lets say the medical industry, Deepmind etc.
And yes, you can ban the first without the other.
Going for AI as a whole makes no sense, and this politician also makes it seem like it’s the same.
Saying AI is the same as just saying internet, when you want to ban a specific site.

Duolingo still have translators. They just dont have as much. Now they only need to double check the output.
Its not an all or nothing situation.

Im curious as how it makes it finacially impossible for improvements by actual translators?
And what improvements do you mean?

Okay, real talk guys. If there’s one thing LLM’s actually CAN do, its language and translation. The best ones are also great at context.
You sound a bit like people yelling at companies for laying off typewriter manufactures when the computer came along.
And we are in the technology community…

And that’s why politican salaries should be caped. Everyone can be corrupted, even if they started good.
And income in general to see briebs, stocks etc.

The company argued that it is being unfairly targeted by the DMA, letting others “freely leech off of it” - a bold claim from a company that locks down basic features, charges for what others offer for free, and blocks third-party innovations unless it gets a cut.
Based.
Brazil and Japan is adopting the “side loading”, so it is happening, but slowly.
There’s also a few examples of this, that we dont hear about in the media as much, but there’s some food quality and plastic standards that spreads.
I also remember something about airplanes and your rights when flights are delayed and stuff, but I cant recall it specifically.
