Greed 100%. Religious extremism only hurts a minority. The people trapped in the cults, the family members of the 50’s dad hitting them with the bible, victims of crusade/jihad style atrocities etc.

Which is awful but manageable.

I subscribe to that logic, but im still at a 6 or 7. I had serious anxiety problems a long time ago and im still on the nervous side, though its nowhere near as crippling as it was.

Trouble is im built like Desperate Dan, and if its sunny ill catch my own reflection in shop windows and shit myself because “Holy jesus he looks mean and he’s so close and… its me isnt it…”

If it happened overnight, probably a lot of people would starve. An individual not getting to eat at their favourite shit-house would just go to the shop and buy some “real food”. If everyone individual couldnt then suddenly the food shops are getting hit hard and would sell out in no time. Not to mention the panic-buying that would start up. People likely getting trampled to death and all sorts, stabbed up in the car park for their eggs and stuff.

If the fast food places quietly went away over a month or two everything would be fine.

I don’t bother with manuals any more. I never manage to retain much information unless I need it right now. Way easier to just fumble along and find what I need when I need it and cobble together a half-baked “understanding”.

Should go get some ADHD meds one day.

Somehow ive decided to just live life by this mantra and its going OK so far. I don’t have to understand or like anything that anyone’s doing, but as long as they aren’t hurting anyone its fine.

I think its one of those things that doesnt translate so well outside of its time/place. Here in the UK we had people scoffing at “black lives matter” because “surely all lives matter are white people not as important…”. We’re not feeling systemic racism nearly to the same extent America is and the movement loses a lot of its power based just on the name. I think feminism has caught the same thing being out of its time.

There’s surely some issues still to work on with gender equality, but the main big ones have been pretty much solved as best we can. Women can vote, drive, work etc. On the surface the works already been done.

I don’t think there’s any sort of cosmic balance, much as I wish there were. Generally though people being assholes will eventually be an asshole to the wrong person and that’ll sort of feel like karma.
