Hi, I’ve got dispatcharr running behind a VPN with free iptv feeds and have it at the point I think I’m comfortable subscribing to a provider. Where is the best place to talk about and get real experiences with different ones? All I see are what look like SEO optimized scams trying to sell providers, half the time look fake anyway. Thanks

Personally I just do PlutoTV plus whatever free/sketchy channels I can find. I haven’t heard of many providers but they all seem fairly suspect. If I were more into sports or a similar niche, then I might be looking harder. But I’m good with “Pluto Plus” for now.

I recently went down the rabbithole of trying to find live sports streaming through IPTV and gave up on it for now.

Not sure if you’ve already seen rentry’s list of free IPTV sources, but that might help a little.

The problem with paid IPTV providers is that if they’re easy to find, they’re easy to take down — so anything you can find through a search is probably a scam or will be short-lived.

Your best bet is forums like TechKings, where users conduct subscription sales over DMs. I didn’t really want to bother with all of that, but your might be motivated enough to! Sounds like the most common advice is to only subscribe month by month to services to avoid losing money if the provider shuts down or ends up being a scam.

Depends on where you are. I have mine sitting behind a pia vpn container, equivalent to a gluetun solution. My opinion is that if you’re doing black market iptv in a place where you could get in trouble for it, you need a vpn.

Open to alternatives. I’m aware of the issues with kape. I haven’t had problems with them and I’ve used them since before kape bought them. I was going to switch to Mullvad but they no longer support port forwarding, on which I depend.

AirVPN has port forwarding and you can set up anonymous accounts and pay in monero if you really want to go that far. The main downside is that it’s slow, but if you’re just using to torrent then that doesn’t really matter

I don’t see a channel lineup for tvplans. Sports and News is mostly what I’m after here. Both US and European sports.
