So I got a GBA and a couple of games as a retro gift this christmas and when looking into some ways to personalize it with things like a new shell or a backlit screen I stumbled upon the fact that someone has made a semi-functional SNES emulator for the console. Now I have an old SNES and a super mario world cartridge for it so I figure it would be awesome if I could play super mario world on my new GBA.

From a cursory examination it looks like the standard method is to buy a special cartridge and then a special usb adapter to flash data onto that cartridge… which is frankly expensive as fuck… But I’ve also seen something about GBA cartridges that take an SD card and am wondering if that works just as well as a more accessable option?

This is my primary source of info

Aw hell yeh, much easier to just buy a regular cart. Still useful to know though if I want to try jank like putting tv shows onto cartridges.

Edit: For the EZ flash or EverDrive do I need to get a seperate flashing device? in which case what would you reccomend?
