I believe I’ve seen recent cost analysis of using crypto exchanges to transfer money across international borders instead of doing direct conversion through whatever “classical” money transfer service and it showed that due to exchange rates, price fluctuations between crypto exchanges, gas fees, and fiat exchange rates into and out of crypto from usd to whatever currency of the recipient its actually tangibly cheaper to just use a direct wire transfer and currency exchange.

I’ll have to see if I saved the post with the price breakdowns to send you but I just wanted to share that in case you hadn’t heard about it yet. If you had seen that and did find it cheaper somewhere else I’d also be interested to hear where it is actually cheaper. That’s just the most recent analysis I had seen of the costs to exchange from fiat to crypto, send internationally, and then withdraw it in the native currency.

America chose the route of social security and a mandated minimum wage instead of the state seizing the assets of robber barons and returning them to the communities that were responsible for their success.

You can see today exactly how well that worked out for the working class: minimum wage is below the poverty line and hasn’t been a living wage since the 70s, social security is being undone, and the government regulations that mandated a standard of living for working class Americans have been entirely dismantled.

This is the result of leaving the power within the capitalist class and allowing them to get away with their abuses without punishment: they do it again as soon as they get the chance.

Huge props for putting this together. There is no consensus on eradicating trans people from society, and to assume that position is to out yourself as one of the 87% of Republicans who do agree with criminalized gender expression. Fucking insane we have to have this conversation “as leftists” when the overwhelming majority of the democratic BASE is opposed to passing laws openly discrinating against LGBTQ+ people.

It’s agitation, from outsiders. We need to stop letting this shit slide.
