I disagree. You can still find almost every new movie with a disc release. If you actually want the highest quality home video, this is still it.

How old are you? 😅 I think their name is bigger in the audio business, they made/make audio equipment, car stereos, CD Players, etc but you certainly don’t see their name as often as you used. But then, people aren’t really buying home/car audio equipment like they used to.
The top bar shows you:
- Date and time
- What workspace you’re in
- What apps you’re actively running
- Internet connection
- If Caffeine is running
These are all important information to have at a glance, in my opinion. If you don’t think so, you can remove it. Simple as.

3·27 days agoI use it as well with automation and can confirm. Unfortunately with Simple fun you do have to manually sync accounts but it’s a small price to pay. Just have to remember to hit the sync button when you open the dashboard.

Linux@programming.dev•Alternative to Spotify - Linux client?English
12·1 month agoYou keep referring to “the Spotify app”. That is not a web app. That is a native app. If you’re referring to the Spotify web app, you should identify it as such so I don’t have to guess and then you get all worked up about it.
I’m getting to get the laptop that suits my needs, not yours.
I don’t have any needs. I bought 32GB of socketed RAM dirt cheap and slapped it in.
It sounds like you need more RAM, and it sounds like you don’t want to spend the money to buy more RAM. The only way to get that is to buy a laptop with socketed RAM. So do you need it or not? What you said is “RAM is expensive”, which is factually incorrect. The only reason they’re able to jack up RAM prices on laptops is because they solder it to the board, thereby ensuring that you cannot buy inexpensive RAM, and then people like you continue buying them.

23·1 month agoSpotify is not a browser, it’s an app.
In laptops, getting more RAM almost always means getting a higher-tier laptop in other ways which adds a lot to the price.
That’s only true if you buy soldered RAM. Don’t do that.
You think a dedicated app is going to use less RAM than a browser window?
RAM is only expensive if you’re dumb enough to buy a modern Mac.
PWA is basically just a browser window that looks and functions like an app on your computer. You can launch it from wherever you launch apps. It will open in its’ own window. It’s functionally identical.
I’d recommend giving it a go and see if you like it.

41·1 month agoAny reason in particular you need a dedicated client? Can you not just use a PWA?
Shortwave is cool, MusicPod incorporates local music and podcasts into the same app, which is pretty cool. But yes, internet radio is dope.

I disagree. I think it’s very mature. I didn’t experience any problems over the course of a few months, and that was with the Beta.
